I was ordering shoes on their website and once I checked the payment method the address was filled up and confirmed automatically. Since it was the wrong address I sent them an email and asked to cancel it or to change the address for delivery. 12 hours later they responded they can cancel it. I asked them to do so and never got any response. So I called the customer service and explained all the situation. I also explained that I'm passing chemotherapy and cannot go 40 miles to receive the order. The answer I got: "There is nothing I can help you put." And then they just hang the phone. Nice communication. Do not buy anything with them. They don't care.

I would not recommend DSW online purchases and returns. I am actively seeking my refund of 156.31 for an in-person return at the local Poughkeepsie store. I was told my refund would be issued within 7 to 10 days back to my original payment method. To date, many emails, phone calls to both DSW and my bank, still no credit to my account. They claim refund was made to bank, bank records show no refund. DSW won't follow the ARN number! I am still trying to get this rectified. DONT PURCHASE FROM DSW.

I have been dealing with customer service for 2 days now. I originally placed a same day pickup order to a location that then cancelled the order. I placed a new order at a different location for same day pick up and the order has said “in process” for 24 hours. I needed the shoes yesterday and they are now telling me that they won’t be here for a week. I am unable to cancel the order as well as the customer service people. I don’t understand why my order was not cancelled when they couldn’t fulfill what I ordered. The chat feature on the website is also a scam. Every time you open it, it waits about 10 seconds then kicks you off and says thank you for chatting. Absolutely terrible store, would not recommend shopping here.

I purchased a slip in boat shoes, and specifically ordered EXTRA WIDE (big feet). When the shoes arrived they were WIDE, not EXTRA WIDE. I called customer support, they sent me a return label and said they will reship. The replacement pair arrived, AGAIN! WIDE not EXTRA WIDE. I went through the same process and a THIRD pair arrived AGAIN, WIDE. I called and said to just refund me the purchase price. The one thing that I noticed is that on the return label they used "TOO SMALL" as the return reason.. not "WE SHIPPED THE WRONG SIZE". I purchased from shoes.com for many years without issues.. It seems that when they became DSW they fired all the competent employees and kept the cheap ones. I will never buy from these guys again.

Just bought a pair of sneakers from DSW yesterday and haven't even worn them yet, they are supposed to go with an outfit for my 40th birthday dinner Friday. I looked at the bottoms of the soles. They are dirty and scuff mark on the back of the one shoe. I haven't bought shoes in person since pre COVID and highly disappointed with the quality of the product for the price.

Absolutely regretful experience in every way! Ripped me off or 2 day shipping and shipped it 7 day after charging me extra - customer service said they wouldn't and couldn't stop or cancel order after 5 mins of placing order and NO refund. Not American customer service and they even hung up on me! I'm refusing my order when it arrives and strongly advise against anyone doing business with this company and their theft of services!

I'm experienced in retail. I ordered shoes on a Sunday for pick up at the mall. Three hours later I stopped by to see if it was ready. After standing in line a half hour and dealing with 2 clerks, one of whom, by her attitude, acted as if she were mentally somewhere else and and another who seemed terrified of dealing with customers, as if it was her first hour on the job, they had no record of my order. The store manager said it might take 4 hours to "get the order into their system". I can accept that, but it's now more than 24 hours later the order is still "processing". How much do you want to bet the shoes were no longer in stock at the time of ordering but the computerized inventory wasn't up to date?

I had a similar experience this past weekend at the Laurel Lakes store. The manager was quite rude and I told him I did not like his tone. When I returned days later to pick up my order, they packed a totally different item, I ordered white slip on sneakers and they packed a black shoe! When they checked in the back they (did not have the size) I ordered!!! I think they made a note in their system that I objected to the way I was being treated and they decided to “teach me a lesson”. Jokers!

Besides taking the amount of the order at the time of the order they double charge for each pair of shoes as it ships. They lie and say that they "didn't really double charge, they just reserved the full amount"...and then double charge for the whole order. This was on a debit card. My account is now overdrawn. Supposedly I spoke with a supervisor who told the same lies as the first person I spoke with. They said to call my bank.

Order was placed Friday, overdraft happened Saturday. I called the bank who said that they can't do anything about it until Monday. DSW owes me overdraft fees for their "double charge policy" and lies that came with the order. I hope that enough people see this that their lying, cheating, double charge "policy" costs them business. I'll never buy anything online from them again. A separate complaint is that the Federal Way store said that they never get more than a couple of those advertised "free bags with purchase", and don't always get any. False advertising of these promotions too.

I had placed an online order to be shipped to my local DSW for pickup. They gave a shipping time of 4-7 business days. Once that time had passed, I emailed customer service to inquire, and they said it should arrive within the next two days. When that didn't happen I emailed again and they said again two days. Again my order didn't arrive, I had to reach out again and was told the SAME THING. Once again no word about arrival. I call customer service again and they tell me it hasn't even been shipped from the facility yet, and I can cancel my order and pay upfront for a new pair in a different style since the ones I ordered are now out of stock.

Their website provides absolutely no tracking information or option to receive that info, and when you email customer service it takes at least 24 hours for a response and even then, you cannot start an email thread to them. If you respond to the email it submits a new request and you have to wait another 24 hours for a response. Terrible customer service and terrible communication.

The worst customer service. Stop outsourcing your labor to India. Rude and full attitude from rep. Was not helpful. I had a gift card that I never used and was insufficient when credited to me in-stores, and she acted like I was being dishonest because there wasn’t a balance. When I asked for the receipt of when it was used, she told me her supervisor didn’t allow for her to provide me that information. Trash and cheap company.
