MapleStory Lion Heart Castle Questline Guide

Level range: 115-129 (133 in KMS)

The Lion King’s Castle is located in El Nath’s Sharp Cliff area, which can also be seen in the background of several Sharp Cliff and Forest of Dead Tree maps.
At level 110, Krag of the Silent Crusade will contact you via lightbulb, and will transport you to the Desolate Moor. Krag wants you to investigate your way through the castle. You will have to help Jenn the Locksmith rescue his brother from the Red Crockies (level 125), and advance further into the castle through instructions from Luden, a ghost who was the former knight of Von Leon, the Lion King. You also have to help out Murt, a ghost who was cursed by the Lion King and requests your help breaking this curse.
At level 115, Ifia, the queen of the Lion King, will also request that you help her communicate with the Lion King, who is so consumed by his sorrow and lust for revenge that he doesn’t notice her presence. Afterward, you will have to defeat Prison Guard Ani, a loyal servant of the Lion King.
(Currently in KMS only): After you help Ifia communicate with Von Leon, there is an additional storyline involving the Lion King’s Rose Garden, with a new boss: King Castle Golem.

Desolate Castle

Completion Requirements	Talk to Krag. You will be transported to Lion King’s Castle: Desolate Moor. Talk to Krag.

Looking Into the Lion King 1

Location	Krag at Lion King’s Castle: Desolate Moor.	Reward		240,800 experience
Completion Requirements	Talk to Krag. Get to the Fourth Tower by completing quests in the castle.

The Adventure of Jenn the Locksmith

Location	Jenn will contact you via lightbulb.	Reward		230,300 experience
Completion Requirements	Talk to Jenn. Head to the First Tower of the castle.

Jenn’s Brother

Class	Any	Level	110+	Activation requirements	Requires The Adventure of Jenn the Locksmith completed
Location	Jenn at Lion King’s Castle: First Tower.	Reward		240,000 experience
Completion Requirements	Talk to Jenn. He will give you a Temporary Key to the First Tower. Use it to enter the Dangerous Roof of the First Tower and talk to Jenn’s Brother after eliminating the 4 Red Crockies there. Talk to Jenn once the above task is completed.

The First Spell Breaker

Completion Requirements	Talk to Luden. Eliminate the 5 Red Crockies at the Roof of the First Tower. Talk to Luden again.
In order to access the Roof of the First Tower, you’ll need to complete Key to the First Tower. Note: The Red Crockies in this quest are weaker than the ones involved in the quest Jenn’s Brother.

Key to the First Tower

Completion Requirements	Talk to Jenn. Collect 200 Crocky’s Helmets from Crocky the Gatekeeper. Return to Jenn.
The Key to the First Tower can be used to enter the Roof of the First Tower to kill the Red Crockies for The First Spell Breaker.

The Second Spell Breaker

Completion Requirements	Talk to Luden. Eliminate the 6 Prison Guard Boars at the Roof of the Second Tower. Talk to Luden again.
In order to access the Roof of the Second Tower, you’ll need to complete Key to the Second Tower.

Key to the Second Tower

Completion Requirements	Talk to Jenn. Collect 200 Reindeer’s Spears from Reindeer or Blood Reindeer. Return to Jenn.
The Key to the Second Tower can be used to enter the Roof of the Second Tower to kill the Prison Guard Boars for The Second Spell Breaker. Note, unless you have a character that has finished this quest already, you will not be able to get spears from Blood Reindeer.

The Final Spell Breaker

Completion Requirements	Talk to Luden. Eliminate the 7 Prison Guard Rhinos at the Roof of the Third Tower. Talk to Luden again.
In order to access the Roof of the Third Tower, you’ll need to complete Key to the Third Tower.

Key to the Third Tower

Completion Requirements	Talk to Jenn. Collect 200 Bearwolf’s Morning Stars from Bearwolves. Return to Jenn.
The Key to the Third Tower can be used to enter the Roof of the Third Tower to kill the Prison Guard Rhinos for The Final Spell Breaker. Note, in order to access Bearwolves, you’ll have to go back to the portal on the bottom right of Third Tower and Luden will let you into the map to kill Bearwolves. Finishing this quest will give you access to the Fourth Tower to complete Looking Into the Lion King 1.

Murt’s Letter

Completion Requirements	Talk to Murt. He will give you a letter and transport you to El Nath. Deliver the letter to Alcaster in El Nath.

Alcaster’s Crystal

Location	Alcaster at El Nath: El Nath Market.	Reward		150,946 experience
Completion Requirements	Talk to Alcaster. He will give you his crystal and transport you to Desolate Moor. Head to Second Tower and double click the crystal. Talk to Murt.
Completing this quest will allow you to purchase Von Leon Gear from Murt. Note, if you lose the crystal, you will have to pay 10 million mesos to get another one.

Looking Into the Lion King 2

The Transformed King

Completion Requirements	Talk to Luden. Kill 222 Grey Vultures. Return to Luden.
Note: This quest only needs to be completed if you want to fight Von Leon.

The Knight’s Magic Scroll

Location	Luden at Lion King’s Castle: Fourth Tower.	Reward		30,000 experience and The Knight’s Magic Scroll.
Completion Requirements	Talk to Luden. Kill Castle Golems for Dirty Magic Scroll of the Knight Return to Luden.
This quest only needs to be completed if you want to fight Von Leon. This quest is repeatable once a day. The Knight’s Magic Scroll warps you to Audience Room Corridor, the entrance to Von Leon. Note, it’s untradeable.

Looking Into the Lion King 3

Completion Requirements	Talk to Krag. Collect 50 Purification Totems from monsters inside the castle. Return to Krag.
Purification Totems are always dropped by monsters in the castle. They are also used to purify Lion King Medals to obtain Noble or Royal Lion King Medals, which can be used to purchase Von Leon Gear from Murt.

Looking Into the Lion King 4

Solidifed Black Goo is a quest item that only drops while this quest is in progress.

The Weeping Queen

The Mistrustful King

Completion Requirements	Talk to Ifia. She will transport you to Secret Corridor. Escort her to the left of the map, while protecting her from Demon Gargoyles. Once successfully escorted, enter the portal on the left of the map to enter Depressing Audience Room. Talk to Von Leon. He will give you Ifia’s Pendant. Talk to Ifia.

The Lion King’s Gatekeeper

Luden’s Gift

Luden’s Mastery Book will give you the choice of either a Mastery Book 20 or a Mastery Book 30, which raise the master level of any skill to 20 or 30 (depending on the book) at a 100% chance. If you are a Dual Blade or Cygnus Knight, you will get a special potential scroll instead.
