Accessing your email inbox (2024)

Your Gmail account is the main method of communication in the University, so make sure to check it regularly.

Your main email address is: studentnumber@myport.ac.uk. For example, up1234567@myport.ac.uk. You'll need to use this to log into your Gmail account and access any Google Apps, including your calendar.

You also have a second email address which is: firstname.lastname@myport.ac.uk. For example, joe.bloggs@myport.ac.uk. Please note, you can't use this second address to log into your Google account and if the account has already been taken, you will have a number in the email address.

Your University email account is available for the duration of your studies.
